The documentary series The Brazil in Images, idealized by Lauro Escorel, will have an exhibition guaranteed on Canal Brasil. It is expected that the shooting of the five episodes, 25 minutes each, will begin in the second half of this year and the series will debut in the first half of 2018.

Brazil in Images will show, through the records of some of the main photographers of Brazilian history, a Brazil of multiple faces, in constant transformation, captured in several times and places by the lenses of photography pioneers, among them Marc Ferrez, Valério Vieira, Mário de Andrade, Thomaz Farkas, Marcel Gautherot, Jean Manzon, Pierre Verger and José Medeiros.

From the first "camera" bought by D.Pedro II, through the experimentalism of Valério Vieira to the photojournalism of the 40s and 50s and the inauguration of Brasília in 1961, the series will recover little known aspects of the history of Brazilian photography.
